Revisions in EPA and OSHA regulations now require that all asbestos samples collected from publicly-accessed buildings be collected by an Accredited AHERA Building Inspector. To maintain Currency you must attend a 4 hour refresher each year.
This course satisfies the requirements outlined in the April, 1994 EPA Model Accreditation Plan (MAP) and the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). It is required for anyone conducting building surveys for the presence of asbestos-containing materials. This includes industrial hygienists, engineers, architects, property managers, regulator personnel, and environmental consultants.
