Before you start any renovations or demo of your home, office or any other structure you need to test for “Asbestos”.
Homeowners may remove asbestos from their owner-occupied single family home themselves. They may not remove asbestos from homes that they own but do not occupy (rentals for example). If the homeowner is hiring a contractor to remove old flooring, or Popcorn Ceiling texture, a AHERA Certified Building Inspector is required to test for Asbestos.
